Library Profile

The Library is the heart of the institution which supports the academic and research needs of community through its information resources and services. Currently, it has holdings of more than 20,000 volumes of reference and circulating books, a numbers of print journal titles, and a growing collection of multimedia and electronic resources. It also subscribes to a number of powerful databases, providing peer-reviewed articles; full-text magazines, newspapers, eBooks; primary source documents; videos or podcasts; as well as abstracts, full journal articles, and links to related research materials in the Philippines.

In addition, the library is affiliated with local linkages, library associations and consortia with libraries providing hard-to-find resources for its patrons. Also, library supports literacy, formal instruction and orientation with having five (5) library facilities located throughout the campus.

Catalog

The library employs the Dewey Decimal Classification System for its collections. The library adheres to AACR2R and catalogs to the second level of description. The library is using Destiny Library Manager as its integrated library system allowing online access for its catalog.

Personnel

The library personnel hold professional degrees in librarianship. The head of the library is a license under the Professional Regulation Commission of Philippine government and a master’s degree in Library and Information Science. Other personnel are still on-going with their career advancement in the field. Moreover, library personnel are also active members of library associations in the Philippines.
